Investigative Journalist Mohammed Ali was on Friday bashed by Kenyans, who expressed that he should quit media and join politics.
The Jicho Pevu reporter sparked an online storm after writing an opinion piece in which he vehemently criticised the government, stating that the ruling coalition was staring at a downfall.
In his article: Kifo cha mende cha isubiri Jubilee (The death of a cockroach awaits Jubilee) Mr Ali faulted the government citing among other issues; discrimination, failure to fulfill campaign pledges, electoral malpractice and violation of the constitution
While some concurred with Ali, an unforgiving section of Kenyans on Twitter sharply criticized him, asking his employer to fire him over claims that he was biased.
However, amid the mixed reactions the Journalist stayed put and even responded to his critics, stating that his article had an impact.
On Thursday, in regard to claims that he was eyeing the Nyali parliamentary seat, Ali told Kenyans.co.ke, “I am currently a journalist, but if the right time comes to join politics, why not?”

I however believe Moha cannot serve two masters, he has picked a side and that will cloud his objectivity as a journalist #LetMohaGoCampaign
