Residents of Mucharage Village, Othaya are an enraged lot, after a woman allegedly set her house on fire before going into hiding.
The woman's husband who is now homeless, is still trying to come to terms with the series of bizarre incidents that have taken place in what had been his home.
It is alleged that the arsonist had an argument with her husband, 55 year old Evanson Karenju after she failed to come home on Sunday night.
In what both her husband of five years and neighbors are still trying to understand, the lady is said to have dug a "grave" in the kitchen, planted kale around it and made a cross out of firewood to complete the picture.
Afterwards, the 45 year old woman reportedly set the house on fire, burning property estimated to be worth Sh. 600,000.
The whereabouts of the suspect are not known.
