Drunk Robbers Arrested Drinking Alcohol Stolen From Bar in Nyeri

Four robbers have been nabbed by police while drunk in a rather comical incident in Wetemere slum, in the outskirts of Nyeri Town.

The individuals had engaged in the robbing of a new Club in Nyeri, Chania Taverns.

Area OCPD Paul Kuria indicated to KTN News on Thursday morning that the suspects stormed the premises armed with crude weapons and injured the watchman.

The police boss indicated that the robbers, armed with pangas, roughed up and tied the watchman with ropes before continuing with the robbing spree.

He indicated that the watchman has since been admitted in hospital with serious injuries.

The robbers, however, managed to get away with goods of substantial value including TV sets, gas cylinders, Pressure car wash machine and bottles of alcohol.

The culmination of the dramatic event of their arrest manifested since they did not take time to find a proper hiding place or area to stash their stolen goods.

Instead, the individuals decided to make merry by indulging in consumption of the stolen alcoholic products from the Club.

The police added that they launched an operation of tracking the criminals as soon the report was made.

Interestingly, they managed to catch up with the already intoxicated suspects who were watching TV while enjoying the loot.
