The health CAS announced that 2 Tanzanian nationals had tested positive for Covid-19 at the Isibania border and were referred back to their country.

"Yesterday I said that we are testing Tanzanians who are crossing over, but, we are testing them while on their soil and then sharing with them the results of the test. So when they test positive, since they have tracked through their soil, need to go back for isolation and also for contact tracing by the Tanzanian authorities," Aman stated.

CAS Aman further revealed that the ministry had dispatched a surveillance team led by acting Health Director-General Patrick Amoth to Kajiado County, to counter cross-border Covid-19 transmissions.

This is after seven truck drivers tested positive for the virus following tests at Namanga border point.
