MPs Alice Nga'ng'a, Ferdinand Waititu Issue 3 Ultimatums to NASA principal Raila Odinga Ahead of Thika Rally

Two Jubilee politicians have issued 3 ultimatums to National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga ahead of his visit to Kiambu on Saturday.

According to Thika MP Alice Nga'ng'a, who was accompanied by Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu, Odinga was welcome to campaign in Thika but must stick to the national agenda.

1. ‘Ferrying supporters’

Ms Nga'ng'a warned Odinga against ‘ferrying people to Thika on Saturday with an aim of causing chaos so that it can be blamed on the Jubilee side’.

"I want to say this and repeat ... Raila come to Kiambu and seek for votes but do not come here to cause chaos so that it can be said that Kiambu people are bad and fight other people," warned Nga'ng'a.

2. Accept defeat

She also demanded that Odinga had to pledge to accept defeat if he loses to President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August 8 polls.

"The Opposition is always giving the country stress as they never accept any decision and Kenyans are now fed up. All leaders must accept the decisions Kenyans will make in the August 8 elections," added Nga'ng'a.

3. Peace

On his part, Waititu welcomed the NASA principal to Kiambu but asked him to preach peace just as Jubilee has done in their strongholds.

Waititu however castigated NASA for becoming a stumbling block on every issue by fronting politics of defiance.

"The NASA team demanded that the IEBC commissioners be removed, which was done. Now they do not want the current IEBC doing its mandate. Even if the NASA team are awarded the tenders to supply ballot papers they will still oppose it as that's their nature," lamented Waititu.

Odinga is on Saturday expected to lead his NASA brigade in a vote-hunting mission in Kiambu where they are scheduled to hold rallies in Thika Stadium.

President Kenyatta will hold campaigns at the venue on Sunday.
