Chinese Men Found with Ivory Hidden in Condoms

Three Chinese nationals were arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport (JKIA) after the Kenya Wildlife Service' (KWS) canine unit found them with ivory products and lion teeth.

The contraband in form of bangles and necklaces valued at Sh260,000 was wrapped in cooking foil and further concealed in condoms.

The suspects were travelling from Lubumbashi, Congo, heading to Guangzhou China, before they were intercepted at the JKIA checkpoint during the weekend. They were booked at the JKIA Police Station awaiting to be arraigned at the Makadara law courts on Monday.
