VIDEO: Police Mercilessly Beat CORD Protestor

A video shared online has revealed the extent of force police officers used to repulse protestors during CORD's demonstrations against the IEBC.

In the video, officers are seen chasing a young man who unfortunately falls down and is brutally attacked by GSU officers.

The man seemingly collapses as he doesn't move an inch despite the thorough beating unleashed by the security agents.

One of the armed policemen ruthlessly kicks the protestor and it takes the intervention of a fellow officer who seemingly urges him to stop beating up the youth.

After the protest, authorities were accused of using excessive force with Meru County youth leader identified as Muroko being badly injured.

Despite the violent scenes, Opposition leader Raila Odinga insisted that the protests would continue every Monday.

"Despite the use of unwarranted force by the police, our constitutionally guaranteed and peaceful pickets shall continue next Monday and every Monday thereafter until the IEBC is reconstituted," declared Odinga.
