Kenyan Football Coach Collapses and Dies

Bandari Football Club is mourning the sudden demise of their team manager Alfred Obwaka Achayo.

Reports indicate the deceased complained of stomach discomfort a few minutes after watching a premier league match between Arsenal and Chelsea at his house.

Taifa Leo reported that he later lost consciousness in the bathroom and was rushed to Mewa Hospital.

He was pronounced dead on arrival.

In June, the country also lost another sports personality, a former footballer who played a vital role in ensuring the glory of the national team.

Bernand Agunda, who was an ex-Harambee Stars and Tusker FC Captain passed on at his home in Umoja Estate, Nairobi.

He was well known for his role as the Captain and led the team to lift the Castle Lager Cup under coach Jacob Ghost Mulee in 2002.

Agunda will also be remembered for helping the Brewers' Football club to win the Council of East and Central Africa (CECAFA) in 2008.

In August, former Harambee Stars goalkeeper Mahmoud Mohamed also lost his life a few days after returning from India where he was receiving advanced treatment.
