Royal Media Services (RMS) has recruited two news anchors who were previously at KTN News.

In an internal memo from the media house, it was revealed that Jimmy Mbogoh and Jasmine Wambui will be joining the team.

According to the memo, the two will be joining the business desk at Citizen TV. It was, however, not revealed the date the two will make their on-air debut.

"Team, please extend a warm welcome to Jasmine Wambui and Jimmy Mbogoh. They've joined the business desk and will be instrumental in supporting us across TV, radio, Web, and digital platforms," reads part of the memo.

This comes barely a week after Mbogoh quit his role from KTN. The business reporter/ news anchor, in a heartfelt farewell message to his fans, remarked that it was a fulfilling year at the media house.

He thanked his colleagues and friends for their support throughout the year and his bosses, who allowed him to tell stories in one of Kenya's largest media houses.

"I look back with great joy and pride for what we achieved," he stated.

Besides his stint at KTN, he has worked at K24, Kenyan Wallstreet, and Nation Media Group among other media houses.

Meanwhile, Wambui is a business anchor and reporter who has been at KTN for two years and two months. At KTN she was also a multimedia journalist for one year.

Before joining Standard Media Group, she was a news reporter at Citizen TV. She also covered and reported Viusasa News segments.

Wambui was also a news anchor at Shine FM under Daystar University after completing her Degree in Communication and Media Studies from the institution.

Currently, she is taking a course in Financial Markets from Yale University.

"A financial journalist with a specialty in energy reporting, passionate in matters electricity and fuel," she states on her LinkedIn profile.
