Former senior News Anchor and Africa News Editor for NTV Daniel Mule has quit the position of Chief Officer of Public Communications and e-government in Machakos County.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, sources privy to the matter explained that he had tendered his resignation early this week.
Mule had served as the lead of the Communications department for one year following the vetting and subsequent approval by the Machakos County Assembly.
Following his resignation, the position will be declared vacant as a suitable candidate will be nominated to replace the acclaimed journalist.
Mule managed all communications channels linked to Wavinya Ndeti's county government during his tenure.
Efforts by Kenyans.co.ke to contact Mule proved futile as calls went unanswered.
The sources, however, pointed out that the former anchor will likely pursue personal interests and career growth.
Before landing a job at Ndeti's county government, he worked as a communication and Advocacy specialist at the Africa Medical Research Foundation (AMREF).
Mule joined Nation Media Group in October 2011 and called it quits after amassing a decade of experience.
"The same God who gave me that dream, made it come to fruition hence I say to where there's a will, there's a way," Mule stated while giving his remarks on his final bulletin.
His journey was not all rosy as he began working at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) where he carried sacks of maize.
His silver lining came when he applied for work at Taifa Leo and Nation newspaper where he rose to the epitome of the corporate ladder to the news anchoring position and Africa News Editor for NTV.
