Betty Kyallo is set to make a return to Kenyan television screens after joining TV47 which has in the recent past been on a recruitment spree as the media company seeks to grow into one of the most popular broadcasters in the country.
Sources have informed Kenyans.co.ke that the former K24 news anchor will debut on the Cape Media owned TV channel on an unspecified date.
Another source intimated that Betty Kyallo is being lined up to take over the Friday Prime Time news slot and a light segment after the bulletin curated to blow mainstream media stations out of the water.
Sources also reveal that Betty and the TV47 team are in the process of shooting a promotional video for the show.
Additionally, it was also revealed that the show will probably debut in May.
However, Betty Kyallo had not confirmed the move by the time of going to press.
Betty Kyallo is a seasoned news presenter having served successful stints at Standard Group and K24.
During her stint at Mediamax, Betty Kyallo hosted prime time news on weekends which was succeeded by an entertainment news segment that saw her interview different profiles of guests.
After being axed by K24, Betty Kyallo embarked on various personal business ventures before immersing herself in a reality TV show where she starred alongside her sisters.
However, the media star rocked headlines earlier this month when a notice of auction for items from her salon, Flair by Betty surfaced online.
The notice indicated that the items were auctioned as a result of rent arrears accrued by the salon.
Betty, on the other hand, came out to explain that she had let it go and was at peace despite the loss of the items.
"I am happier. I sleep better. My peace of mind is more important than a name. I'm good," Kyallo stated
