Former K24 TV anchor Betty Kyalo's landlord has put her salon, Flair by Betty, up for auction over rent arrears.

Keysian Auctioneers, which was selected to oversee the process, sent out a notice on Monday morning indicating that the exercise was scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 17 at 11:00am.

The auctioneer announced that the sale was necessitated as a call to distress for rent pitting the beauty queen against her landlord.

More than 20 items including; 3 pieces of dismantled wall shelves, a massage bed stand, chandelier, a small serve rack, a white shelf with a cabinet stand, and a glass shelf were put up for auction.

Others were; seats attached with sinks, a blue cushioned stool, a Relmon shower, Hiluck video recorder, 9 CCTV cameras, assorted towels, a Huawei rooter, a top massage stone heater, a Nunix water dispenser, a small foot massage, a Mac coffee maker, a small wooden stool, and two tables (one broken) and a round mirror.

A representative at Keysian Auctioneers confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke that the items had been put up for auction and details of the auction were available at the company's offices at CPF House in Nairobi CBD.

Interested individuals will be expected to attend the auction with cash and pay for the goods upon the drop of the hammer.

Those interested in viewing the items can do so any day of the week but with prior arrangements.

Kyalo launched the salon located along Lenana Road in 2020 in a luxurious event attended by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's wife Idah.

At the time of the launch, Kyalo had promised that the salon would offer 'good hair, beautiful nails and fresh barber cuts'.

It featured three classy chandeliers and was located on the Mihrab Building with high ceilings and comfortable sofas.

She opened the high-end spa after closing her business dealings with Posh Palace.
