Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has lost a bid to stop his party, The National Alliance (TNA), from grilling him over hate speech comments.
The controversial legislator had made an application to the party’s disciplinary committee to have it terminated.
Through his lawyer Danson Mungatana, Kuria said since he already had a case at the High Court with the same charges, the committee should not question him on the matter.
When he appeared before the committee last week, Kuria refused to answer to the charges claiming they were vague.
The committee said it would redraft them but Kuria later applied for termination of the session.
On Tuesday the committe rejected his application saying Kuria must face the charges.
If found guilty the legislator could be suspended, expelled from the party or forced to pay a fine.
Kuria is among 8 members summoned by the Party Disciplinary committee over alleged misconduct.
