Premium content from top studios including Universal, Nickelodeon and the BBC will be available without subscription to all Airtel mobile telephone subscribers in Kenya.
Viewers will simply use their Airtel SIM card to download the Airtel TV app and can enjoy watching immediately in the palm of their hands, at home and on the go.
Airtel Kenya CEO Prasanta Das Sarma expressed his excitement at the launch of the new service, saying that Airtel TV is set to revolutionize the video on demand & Live TV viewing experience via smartphones.
“Airtel offers customers access to the very best shows, movies and live television engagements for free. Airtel TV has no monthly subscriptions and is accessible as long as you have data for streaming,” he explained.
Airtel TV app is available for download today from Play Store and Apple Store.
All customers can download and register with their Airtel line and start enjoying their favourite entertainment genres.
Customers will have the double advantage of using Airtel’s affordable data bundles to watch the content.
Kenyans have largely adopted streaming services to access video content and has grown tremendously with during the Covid-19 pandemic as many citizens have more freetime on their hands.
