Kenya will host the 2024 edition of the AllAfrica Media Leaders’ Summit which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 8th – 10th May 2024.
According to AllAfrica, the event will be themed Re-engineering African Media to Drive Critical Transformation.
"The objective of this important initiative is to address the critical role of media in Africa's economic growth, social progress, and improved democratic governance," AllAfrica stated.
"Peace, security, and responsible, effective governance cannot flourish without fair, accurate and reliable communication in this transformative digital era."
The Summit agenda revolves around 6 key pillars; African Economic Transformation, AI, Technology and Digitization, Regional Integration and Peacebuilding, Misinformation and Disinformation, Governance, Standards and Capacity Building, and Creating Sustainable Business Models.
