August 2025 examination dates for accountants and secretaries countrywide have been released. The Kenya Accountants, Secretaries and National Examinations Board (KASNEB) revealed that the exams will be administered over four days, from Monday, August 18 to Thursday, August 21.
Through a notice released on Tuesday, May 20, students of KASNEB, parents, sponsors, guardians, training institutions and other stakeholders were advised to take note of the dates for 18 different examinations set to be administered during that period.
In the notice, candidates were advised to make early arrangements, including seeking permission from employers where applicable, to ensure they sit for the examinations.
Also, KASNEB informed that the closing date for registration and examination entry for the August 2025 examinations will be Friday, July 18.
Additionally, KASNEB disclosed that the qualifications brochure, critical to ensure one’s eligibility to sit for the tests, was available on its website. Other sources for the brochure are the offices of KASNEB and KASNEB counters at Huduma Centres in Nairobi GPO, Kisumu, Kisii, Eldoret, Nyeri, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kitale, Kakamega, Meru and Thika.
Kenya National Library Service (KNLS) branches countrywide and training institutions offering KASNEB courses also provide the brochure.
In terms of the method of payment, KASNEB advised that local students should pay through the students’ portal, where a detailed guide regarding this mode of payment is available.
For foreign-based students, payments should be made through a dollar account held at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB).
Notably, KASNEB cautioned against making payments to members of its staff or agents, adding that cash payments would not be accepted.
Regarding registration, all continuing KASNEB students are required to renew their annual registration by July 1 of each year. New students were reminded that the annual registration renewal fee is due on July 1 following their first eligible examination sitting, and annually thereafter.
