The Social Health Authority (SHA) has warned Kenyans against interacting with unofficial contacts and social media pages.
SHA issued the warning while publishing all official contacts, emails, and service outlets that citizens can use to reach the Authority.
“The Social Health Authority (SHA) advises the public to use the following contacts for all inquiries and services,” SHA noted.
“Please beware of unofficial contacts and pages,” SHA further warned.
Emails that Kenyans can use to contact SHA relate to general queries, customer service, complaints, fraud reporting, and ICT support.
For general queries, Kenyans may email info@sha.go.ke. Customer service inquiries should be directed to customerservice@sha.go.ke, while complaints can be sent to complaints@sha.go.ke.
Those wishing to report fraudulent activities at SHA can email fraud@sha.go.ke, and ICT support queries should be sent to helpdesk@sha.go.ke.
Kenyans were also informed that they can contact SHA in three ways: via a toll-free number, the main line, or SMS. The toll-free number is 0800 720 601 or 147.
For those preferring to use the main line, they can call +254 20 2723246/5 or send an SMS to 147.
Those who prefer to visit SHA offices can get services in all branch offices and Huduma centres nationwide.
The Authority also notified Kenyans of its presence on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X. For the first four aforementioned platforms, the Authority revealed Kenyans could reach SHA at @SocialHealthAuthority.
For Kenyans on the X platform, the Authority disclosed that the platform could be reached at @_shakenya, which has a grey tick verification reserved for government institutions.
The latest comes after numerous instances where SHA has had to flag as fake notices regarding jobs or statutory contributions emanating from pages purporting to be the Authority.
