Ministry of Labour Announces Over 1,000 Jobs in Middle East in Latest Overseas Recruitment Exercise

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has announced a recruitment exercise for overseas jobs, with the aim of connecting over 1,000 Kenyans with employment opportunities abroad.

In a statement on October 28, Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua said that the government had invited candidates to attend interviews to secure job placements in overseas companies, in collaboration with recruitment agencies.

According to Mutua, the interviews are scheduled to take place from Wednesday October 29 to Friday October 31, 2025 at two venues: NITA Mombasa and NITA Athi River.

Specifically, interviews will be held at NITA Mombasa on October 29, while NITA Athi River will host sessions on October 30 and 31.

The advertised, available positions in Dubai and Saudi Arabia cover departments from transport, logistics, security, hospitality, and construction.

In Dubai, the CS announced several job vacancies including 350 Drivers, 500 Riders/Delivery Drivers, 150 security guards and 300 Warehouse & E-Pickers/Helpers. 

"In Dubai, several job vacancies are available: 350 Drivers (ages 22 to 45), 500 Riders/Delivery Drivers (ages 21–38), and 300 Warehouse & E-Pickers/Helpers (ages 21–40). Also required are 150 Security Guards (ages 21–38, minimum height 5’7”, and fluent in English),"the statement by CS Mutua read in part.

Mutua added that positions for both male and female Cleaners (ages 22–35), Waitresses/Hotel Housekeepers (ages 22–35), and 175 Masons, Steel Fixers, Carpenters, & General Labourers (ages 21–45) were also open in Dubai.

In Saudi Arabia, the available positions, according to Mutua, included 50 Drivers (minimum age 21) and 25 Mechanics (ages 21–45).

Employment Benefits

The CS further revealed that successful candidates will have several benefits depending on their placement. 

For Dubai jobs, applicants will get two two-year renewable contract, free accommodation, medical covers, food and transport along overtime pay as provided under UAE labour laws and 30 days of annual leave.

Those placed in Saudi Arabia will be entitled to free food, transport, accommodation, medical insurance and a two-year contract.

"Mandatory commission applies on all jobs to cover air ticket, medical, training, service fee, visa fees and documentation costs. This initiative aligns with the Government’s commitment to providing meaningful employment to Kenyans while ensuring fair terms and conditions of work," the statement by Mutua added.

He also urged applicants to carry along their National ID, school certificates, passports or proof of passport application, passport photos and any relevant academic or work-related documents.
