Popular ODM youth league member and Gen Z youth leader Kasmuel McOure has slammed the Orange Democratic Movement party Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, for chanting the opposition slogan 'one term' during his recent public engagements.
Through a lengthy statement posted across social media platforms on November 30, 2025, Kasmuel accused Sifuna of duplicity over what he claimed to be pushing slogans that contradict with the ODM ideologies.
“If our SG can proudly chant ‘Wantam' the primary slogan of a political formation that stands in direct contradiction to our ideological persuasion and routinely belittles our people, then we are duty-bound to call out his duplicity," Kasmuel claimed.
The Gen Z leader also accused the Nairobi County Senator of masquerading his personal opinions as party positions.
“Of late, we have heard far too many of his personal opinions masquerading as party positions, and this at a moment when ODM is undergoing a critical transition that requires clarity, discipline, and institutional loyalty," Kasmuel wrote.
Kasmuel further claimed that Sifuna played a role in engineering a perception that sought to undermine the ODM Party Leader Oburu Oginga during the celebration of the ODM twentieth anniversary in Mombasa.
The youth league member alleged that Sifuna collaborated with individuals who humiliated the Party Leader during the celebrations in Mombasa.
"Where he should have upheld and elevated Dr. Oburu Oginga’s dignity as our Party Leader, he instead chose to collaborate with individuals who humiliated him, attempting and failing to incite the crowd," Kasmuel alleged.
Kasmuel also accused Sifuna of castigating broadbased supporters within ODM and even associating with individuals who harbor intents of sabotaging the broadbased arrangements between ODM and the Kenya Kwanza government.
The ODM youth league member alleged that the SG has been ignoring official party engagements such as campaigns.
Kasmuel now wants the SG to align with the party’s official direction or step aside for someone capable of defending the party’s integrity with intellectual rigor and political discipline.
In his statement, the Gen Z leader said that the ODM youth shall continue calling out the SG and will not allow him to continue undermining the party.
