The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) will be busy in court from December 1 to 5, 2025, dealing with 12 people accused of misusing or stealing over KSh 1.6 billion through fraud, illegal tenders, land grabbing, and bribery.
In a press release dated November 30, 2025, EACC featured Estama Investments Limited and 13 others in a suit to recover KSh 800 million paid for allegedly overpriced portable medical clinics. The accused will stand trial on December 1 at the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court in Nairobi.
The same court will also hear a suit involving Dr. Shem Odongo Ochuodho and two others concerning an irregular KSh 2 billion refinancing deal at Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC), which allegedly resulted in KSh 286 million in losses. The matter will run from December 1 to 2.
On December 2, Hartland Enterprises Ltd faces a suit for KSh 36.2 million allegedly paid irregularly, while on December 3, the court holds hearings for Geotech Contractors and six others accused of forging documents to secure a water-project tender in Kilifi worth KSh 22.3 million. Both these cases will be in the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court in the capital city.
On December 4, the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court will hear the National Museum of Kenya case seeking to recover Kes441.3 million allegedly lost through ghost salary payments involving Mzalendo Kibunjia.
In Vihiga County, the former Vihiga Finance Chief Wilberforce Ndula and eight others are charged with conspiring to acquire KSh 7.6 million through payments for undelivered services. This hearing is set for December 3.
The Garissa Law Courts will host the county’s former protocol officer, Khadija Abdullahi Bare, who allegedly forged a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Political Science) degree certificate to secure employment and fraudulently received KSh 6.8 million. Khadija’s appearance in court is slated for December 1.
In matters regarding land, Rubis Energy Kenya PLC and eight others will respond to claims of public land illegally transferred from Kenya Railways to private hands and registered as LR. No. 209/9641 at the Milimani Environmental and Land Court on December 1, 2025.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Koinante will face the Nanyuki Law Courts on December 4, 2025, in a suit to recover parcel no. Nanyuki Municipality, blk 8/862, which is public land.
In Machakos, Robert Meme Inyingi is accused of receiving a bribe worth KSh 20,000. The Machakos Law Courts will listen to his case on December 4.
In addition, Kirinyaga’s former Chief Officer of Finance and Planning, Edwin Gichobi, will grace the Kerugoya Anti-Corruption Court on December 2, 2025, for awarding a tender to Eva Trading Company Limited, whose owner is the brother of the former County officer, constituting a conflict of interest.
The week concludes with Richard Muthoka and five others from Kitui County, accused of irregularly procuring 10 digital and mobile machines for the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Kitui County Government. The Kitui Law Courts will hear the matter on December 5, 2025.
