The Nairobi County Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Chief Officer, Geoffrey Mosiria, has asked President William Ruto to introduce a special 'Starter Life Kit' to support youth aged 25 and above to marry and start life for a period of one year.
The Chief Officer said this in a statement posted on social media on 30th November 2025, where Mosiria agreed with President Ruto's advice to the youth to marry.
Mosiria highlighted that the main challenge prohibiting the youth from marrying is the lack of money, asking the President to introduce the special kitty through the Ministry of Youth.
"Mr. President, is there a way the Ministry of Youth can introduce a special 'Starter Life Kit' for young people aged 25 and above just one-year support to help them marry and start life?" Mosiria asked.
Mosiria insisted that the support could help stabilize young people, encourage responsible living, and reduce the rising nightlife.
President Ruto, while attending the wedding of the son of Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi on 29th November 2025, urged youth above the age of 25 to get married.
The President urged the youth to stop excessive clubbing and start families.
"Those of you who are above the age of 25, get married and stop getting from one club to the other," the President advised.
In the statement, Mosiria recounted his days at the Nairobi County Environment docket where he used to conduct night operations in night clubs around the city. The Chief Officer says that the number of girls going to clubs is higher than that of boys.
"This is something I personally witnessed during my late-night operations back when I served in Environment, I went to night clubs. While the boy child is at home, the girl child is in the club dancing like she discovered Nairobi Night Economy," Mosiria wrote.
Mosiria further claimed that the youth are ready to build families and ensure a stable and a better nation.
