Drama erupted at the Embu County Assembly after a drunk MCA stormed the House disrupting proceedings on Wednesday.
Gaturi South MCA John Mwangi is said to have arrived at the Assembly as members were making their way in and started dancing around the entrance.
A tipsy Mwangi then grabbed the division bell from the Sergeant at Arms and started ringing it to summon his colleagues into the House for the morning session, before leaving the building.
During the afternoon session when the members were discussing the County's budget for the 2017/2018 financial year, the same MCA returned and kept interrupting the debate with numerous points of order.
Temporary Speaker who was presiding over the proceedings, Nthawa MCA Ngari Makenge, had a hard time controlling Mwangi who kept shouting across the Chamber.
He later started disrupting other members as they were contributing to the debate despite receiving several warnings from the Speaker.
At some point, he reportedly threw a bottle across the room after one of the MCAs complained about his behaviour with the drunk MCA demanding an apology.
He later hurriedly stormed out of the Assembly leaving his colleagues and students who were attending the proceedings speaking in low tones.
