Presidential Candidate Ekuru Aukot Stranded After Turkana Floods

Thirdway Alliance Presidential candidate, Ekuru Aukot was stranded for hours as he went to cast his ballot after River Nginyang in Turkana County flooded making the road impassable.

The presidential candidate was scheduled to vote at Kapedo, but was unable to cross the flooded river and requested to be airlifted to cast his vote.

Aukot confirmed the mess stating that "between me and casting my vote is a flooded river. Thanks to a bridge in Nginyang that collapsed in 1992. Govt yet to fix it".

Dr Aukot is among the seven presidential candidates who want to unseat the incumbent, President Uhuru Kenyatta, who assumed power on April 9, 2013.

So far, President Kenyatta, Independent candidate Joseph Nyagah, and NASA Leader Raila Odinga have cast their ballots.
