Raila Odinga Holds 6-Hour Crisis Meeting with NASA Leaders

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday chaired a six-hour crisis meeting to come up with the opposition's next move after losing the elections.

The former Premier chaired the meeting attended by his co-principals in Nairobi during which they examined forms 34A and 34.

In the meeting, the leaders inspected the election documents to establish if the results declared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) were consistent with those contained in the forms.

The scrutinization of the documents is meant to inform the Coalition's next move which is set to be announced today.

On Tuesday, NASA postponed the eagerly awaited pronouncement which had been termed as a major declaration.

The Alliance, through a statement sent to the media, confirmed that the announcement would now be made on Wednesday.

According to the Opposition, they were still making consultations regarding the matter before addressing the nation.

"Owing to the urgency, complexity and delicate nature of issues NASA summit is handling, our consultations are ongoing and progressing well.

"We regret that the consultations are taking longer than anticipated and NASA will therefore not address Kenyans as projected today. NASA will issue a comprehensive statement to the nation tomorrow." the statement read in part.

The details of the major announcement are still unclear with many people piling pressure on the Opposition Leader to concede defeat or seek legal redress.

So far, United States President Donald Trump, the United Nations, the United Kingdom and other nations have called on all election losers to accept defeat and if they feel aggrieved, they should follow the Constitution in seeking for justice.
