Jubilee Governor Shouted Down by NASA Supporters

President Uhuru Kenyatta's campaign team led by Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya was on Saturday forced to cut short its campaign after the crowd turned rowdy and started chanting NASA slogans.

The Kwale Governor had attended the Teachers for Teachers graduation ceremony when he was interrupted while giving a speech to the educators.

The drama began when he tried to paint NASA leader Raila Odinga in a bad light describing his a perennial complainer.

"We don't know what is wrong with the opposition. Every time they are complaining like I don't want Chiloba, OT-Morpho and now even Safaricom," he stated.

The crowd was not having any of that as they became hostile and began chanting anti- Jubilee slogans. The irate teachers shouted 'NASA hao and Tibim'.

"We don't want Uhuru Kenyatta anymore, he told teachers there is no salary increment so why should we vote for him," some of the teachers shouted.

The shouts from the crowd persisted as the governor tried to explain his political stance in favor of the Jubilee government.

"I know we have different perspectives on this issue but that is okay since everybody is free to choose whoever they want. Am only requesting you to go and vote when the time comes," Mvurya conveyed amid shouts from the group.

He went further urging the teachers to shun violent demonstrations called by the opposition coalition and maintain peace.

"Now that there are the anti-IEBC demos going on in the country, am requesting you as your governor to stay calm and don't engage in any form of violence," he added.
