Senate Majority Leader Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed Opposition Leader Raila Odinga's plan to quit the Presidential race at the last minute to avoid repeat election.
In a series of tweets, Senator Murkomen noted that Mr Odinga was planning to quit anytime from now adding that he was only examining the next caution of action before quitting.
According to Murkomen, the Opposition Leader thought that by dropping out he would create a crisis but a few cases in court are complicating matters for him.

The Senator, however, noted that with the Jubilee amendment laws, Mr Odinga had no escape route adding that "Once the Election Laws Amendment Act is finally passed it will seal all the loopholes that NASA would have use to cause the political crisis".
The former Prime Minister has been on record stating that he will not participate in the election if their 'irreducible minimum is not met.
"IEBC is the thief that stole the elections on behalf of Jubilee. This is the Kibra Declaration. There will be no election on October 17 if our demands are not met. It will not happen," Raila stated.
Last week, a Jubilee Member of Parliament MP went to court to compel the former Prime Minister to take part in the October 26 repeat presidential election.
Pokot South MP David Pkosing through lawyer Kibe Mungai explained that if Mr Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka make good their threat to boycott the election, there will be a constitutional crisis that can plunge the country into uncertainty.
The MP wants a court declaration that any action by the NASA Leaders to stop the repeat presidential election be declared an act of treason and they should be held accountable.
"Mr Odinga, being one of the candidates nominated to contest in the election is bound by the Supreme Court decision and cannot threaten to boycott the election. Any action to subvert or interfere with the elections is in contempt of the Supreme Court,” Pkosing's petition read in part.

Mungai submitted that in practical terms, there will be no fresh presidential election as ordered by the Supreme Court unless Raila and Uhuru take part.
“The threats by NASA that fresh presidential election will not be held as scheduled may actually materialize in a significant number of constituencies and counties thereby putting Kenya’s constitutional order into jeopardy,” Mungai stated.
