The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has denied claims by Opposition Leader Raila Odinga that some ballot papers are being printed at Industrial area.
In a statement, the Commission explained that the printing of ballot papers was yet to begin and as such any claims indicating the contrary should be treated as rumuors.
"Dubai-based Al Ghurair has yet not started printing presidential ballot papers for the October 26 rerun, " the Commission stated.
Regarding IEBC's preparedness for the next election, Commissioner Roselyn Akombe noted that the electoral body was working to ensure that they will be able to do what they are expected to do before the election.
“The only area to be impacted is the electronic transmission of results and we are working with our service providers on how that can be adjusted," Commissioner Akombe was quoted by the Star.

The electoral agency made the remarks in response to Mr Odinga's claims that some ballot papers were being printed at Nairobi's Industrial area.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Jambo on Wednesday, Mr Odinga claimed that Jubilee had printed fake ballot papers at a godown in Industrial Area.
The former Prime Minister claimed that Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju and former Energy CS Davis Chirchir are supervising the printing.
He said they have photographic evidence of the godown and people in charge.
“If you go there right now, you will find the papers. What they wanted to do is fill them and stuff them in ballot boxes and say these are the votes,” Raila explained.
