Why President Uhuru Kenyatta was Forced to Cancel His Narok Tour

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were forced to call off their campaigns in Narok county on Saturday due to bad weather

President Kenyatta's team decided to cancel the tour after they unsuccessfully waited for long hours for the skies to clear in the region.

The duo thereafter proceeded to Kajiado County where they made several stops before landing in Kitengela town.

During the campaign, Mr Kenyatta maintained his earlier statement that the elections will take place on October 26th dismissing NASA's call for the election boycott.

"Kenya is not about an individual, but about 45 Million Kenyans, we must move forward. It is not about satisfying the dreams or ego of one man, if your dreams are over, you go relax,"he stated.

DP  Ruto echoed President Kenyatta's sentiments adding that the decision to vote is not compulsory.

Mr Ruto noted that those who are not interested in the election should leave Kenyans to peacefully vote and elect their leaders.

The duo also accused NASA leader Raila Odinga of having double standards on deciding not to participate in the election yet he is the one who moved to court to challenge the August 8th poll results.

"Ever since the Supreme Court decision nullified the presidential election, he has always been complaining about all kinds of issues," Mr Ruto noted

Mr Kenyatta also dismissed the calls for dialogue stating that Kenyans are the only people who will decide the fate of the state by voting.
