Miguna Miguna Exposes 2 Jubilee Leaders Controlling IEBC

Former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna on Tuesday revealed two Jubilee leaders he accuses of controlling the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

In an interview with NTV, Miguna stated that Ministry of Internal Security Principal Secretary (PS) is micromanaging the electoral body.

He also accused the Jubilee leader of Majority in Parliament Aden Duale, who is also the Garissa Township Member of Parliament (MP), of controlling the independent body.

"As I said last week, the commission, according to former IEBC Commissioner Roselyne Akombe, is being micromanaged by the PS Internal Security and Jubilee Majority Leader in Parliament Aden Duale," he stated.

He also pointed out that the Chebukati-led team is not ready for the credible election.

The repeat election, he stated, does not meet the requirements of the Supreme Court adding that it would be bungled just like the August poll.

The former gubernatorial candidate also predicted that the presidential election would be nullified by the Supreme Court the same way the August election was annulled.

He stated that the team led by Chairman Chebukati is not committed stating that "it is the reckless and willful blindness that is driving people at the commission."

The lawyer justified his statements by citing President Uhuru Kenyatta meeting with the IEBC Chairman on Monday.

Miguna faulted the IEBC Chairman for meeting the President in his office, unlike other occasions where he calls for meetings in the IEBC offices at Anniversary Towers.

However, speaking to Kenyans.co.ke on the said allegations, the parliamentarian stated: I don't respond to views of mental case patient like Miguna."
