National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga on Sunday finally divulged why the deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu's bodyguard was shot last week under unclear circumstances.
Speaking in Kawangware, Nairobi, Mr Odinga stated that the bodyguard's shooting was a threat sent to the deputy chief Justice and the entire judicial system in Kenya.
Addressing the rally, the former Prime minister noted that the attempted assassination was meant to intimidate the judiciary system led by Chief Justice David Maraga.
He also accused Uhuru Kenyatta's government of scheming to destroy the country's system of governance including the Judiciary.

Mr Odinga indicated that the quorum hitch at the Supreme Court a day before the repeat election was another indication that the Judiciary was being crippled.
The Opposition Leader toured Kawangware following the recent clashes in the area that led to the death at least three people after two rival groups clashed.
He condemned the excessive use of force on protestors indicating that the state cannot rule with guns.
The NASA leader also spoke on his retirement indicating that he is the only person who should decide when to quit politics.
The veteran politician indicated that people should not judge one's activeness in politics based on age arguing that some politicians look young but do not have all it takes to rule.

"Wachana na mambo ya umri ya mtu. Angalia akili ya mtu, angalia sera ya mtu...nitastaafu nikipenda kustaafu (Which loosely translates to: We should leave the issue of someone's age. Judge someone from his thinking and the policies he is pushing for. I will retire when I want to retire)" he declared.
