Elgeyo Markawet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen on Sunday disclosed that two National Super Alliance (NASA) Principals Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka want Opposition leader Raila Odinga to retire.
The Senate Majority leader noted that Mudavadi and Kalonzo wanted Mr Odinga to retire so they can get a chance to run in the 2022 General Election.
Through his Twitter account, Mr Murkomen clarified that Deputy President William Ruto welcomes the candidature of Raila Odinga in 2022.
President Uhuru Kenyatta's lawyer Ahnednassir Abdullahi replied Murkomen twitter message faulting the Senator for stating that the DP acknowledged Odinga's candidature.
Ahmednassir noted that Mr Ruto is praying that he is enjoined in the presidential race with the NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Meanwhile, Mr Odinga on Sunday indicated that he would only retire in politics when he sees it fit.

Addressing residents in Kawangware, the ODM leader assured Kenyans that he would continue to push his agenda in politics.
"We should leave the issue of someone's age.Judge someone from his thinking and the policies he is pushing for."he stated.
After the August election, ANC leaders and Ford Kenya leaders led by Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala stated that the Opposition is ready to lead the opposition in 2022 presidential race.

Mr Malala noted that the ANC would not accept anything less than its leader Musalia Mudavadi being the presidential candidate.
