Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's move to help National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters has sparked angry reactions from a section of NASA leaders in the western region.
On Thursday, the Governor cleared the medical bills for several survivors of the post-election violence in Migori.
The patients had been detained at St Joseph Ombo Mission Hospital after they failed to raise approximately Sh270,000.
Uriri MP Mark Nyamita dismissed the assistance from the Governor indicating that it was an insult to the victims.
"I understand that Jubilee, through Governor Sonko, is dishing out money to hospitals where our people are recovering to cater for the bills of the Jubilee-sanctioned police brutality," he stated.

“We are telling Sonko to keep his blood-stained money to himself. Let him use the money to pay Nairobi county employees who have gone for months without pay.
"He can use the money to clean the city, which is chocking under garbage, or he can equally use it to buy good manners," he noted.
A section of Migori leaders has also dismissed the help from the Jubilee leader noting that the government sent the police to kill supporters of NASA leader Raila Odinga.
The patients sustained severe gunshot wounds after protestors engaged in battles with anti-riot officers.

On Wednesday, Governor Sonko also promised to give families of victims of the election violence Sh100,000 to cater for burial expenses.
He also donated Sh1 Million to those who suffered losses in Kawangware where an unknown gang looted shops and destroyed property worth millions.
