A Former Wiper Party Member of Parliament (MP) has disclosed the source of a case seeking to have the court declare him bankrupt.
Reports going rounds on social media indicated that the former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu had filed for bankruptcy.
Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, the former Wiper MP refuted this claims indicating that those spreading such reports could be malicious people who want to tarnish his name.
"I have not filed such a case, I think those spreading those rumors are malicious people who want to tarnish my name," he conveyed.

Reports released on Thursday revealed that the former MP had filed for bankruptcy through his company United Credit Limited.
According to the reports, Mutambo's lawyers Wadumbo and Company had presented the application in a gazette notice on July 25.
It also indicated that the Commercial and Admiralty Division of the High Court had said the matter would be heard on December 6.
"Anyone opposed or supporting the application is required to appear before or during the hearing either personally or through an attorney,"
part of the report read.
The former Wiper leader who defected to Jubilee last year also affirmed that he had no plans to file a case seeking to be declared bankrupt.

Mr Mutambu lost his seat losing to Wiper's Gideon Mulyungi in the August 8 poll.
