The vehicle of Starehe Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Kanyi who is also known as Jaguar was on Sunday morning involved in an accident.

The accident occurred along Kenyatta road in Juja, Kiambu county.

Three people including two of Jaguar's bodyguard sustained injuries in the road crash that involved the MP's  motorcade.

Mr Kanyi confirmed the morning accident adding that it resulted from a commotion that was caused after another accident had occurred earlier along the road.

"Curious motorists parked wrongly on the road when they stopped to have a glance at the Toyota Isis which had veered off the road and rolled several times.

"It is then that one vehicle rammed into another, and another rammed into the one in front, my vehicle which had my bodyguards on board also rammed into the car which was parked in front reducing it to a wreck.

"One of my bodyguards was fatally injured in the accident, the other sustained minor injuries, the driver is in bad shape," the MP stated.

The three individuals have been rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.

Nonetheless, the Starehe MP was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident as he was driving from behind.
