Former Nairobi Woman Representative Rachel Shebesh is mourning her mother-in-law who died at Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu on Monday night.
Dorice Ambundo was aged 83 at the time of her passing on.
She leaves behind five children, one of whom is Franklin Shebesh, the former legislator's husband.
The late Mama Dorice was admitted to hospital on Sunday, following complications related to advanced age.
She died at 8.30 pm on Monday night.

In September, Mrs Shebesh lost her father, Samuel Maina Mbugua.
Mr Mbugua passed away while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.
He was a former Nairobi Mayor who served between 1998 and 1999.
He is credited with negotiating development financing deals with the World Bank that led to the creation of estates such as Kimathi, Uhuru, Kariobangi South, Harambee and Umoja.
President Uhuru Kenyatta stated at his funeral: “As we mourn and pay homage to this visionary leader, let us also celebrate his life and achievements.”
