Police Launch Search for 2 Kisii County Teachers Found With Pupils in Lodging

Police in Kisii County has launched a manhunt for two male teachers who escaped arrest after being caught with two pupils at a lodging facility.

The two male teachers are said to have lured the pupils to the motel after they returned from a sports event.

Witnesses who apprehended the suspects revealed that the teachers had been caught in a compromising situation with the students in two separate rooms.

Citizens claim that the teachers fled the facility before police arrived and are yet to be sighted.

"They were found naked and only had towels on them when they were forced out of the room. However, they quickly ran out and escaped," a shopkeeper told Daily Nation.

Merrymakers at a bar that neighbours the rooms explained that the teachers entered the facility with the pupils at around 7:30 p.m.

The locals then raised alarm and protested when the teachers requested rooms and were allowed to enter them with the students. They would later burst into the rooms where they found the teachers with the students.

The headteacher of the school the pupils attend stated: "I had entrusted them, being elderly, to take the pupils to participate in the games and bring them safely back home only to be notified that they have been found in a lodging.

"They have not been seen and none of them has reported to school," he stated.

County Education Director William Sugut warned: "We have already blacklisted their names and once they are arrested they will face the law. There is no shortcut for any teacher who breaches the professional code."
