President Uhuru Hosts Christmas Party for Children at State House
President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Saturday held a day long Christmas party for children at State House, Nairobi.
In photos and video shared by State House, the children were treated to live music, bouncing castles, virtual reality, arts and other fun games.
"The children were also given a chance to view the cars that are part of the presidential convoy," a statement from the presidency read.
One of the vehicles on exhibition was the car that founding President Jomo Kenyatta used to ride in.
In one of the videos, the Head of State and his wife freely interacted with the children including joining them in dancing the famous song Tsa Mandebele Kids by Oskido's Candy.
"The children also got a chance to talk with the President about various issues, including the Big Four Agenda," the State House communicated.
The hundreds of children in attendance appeared to have the time of their life as they danced to popular kids' tunes.
"President Kenyatta and the First Lady danced and made merry with the children, took photos and engaged in a cocktail of entertainment activities.
"To crown the day, the President and the First Lady led the children in cake cutting, singing Christmas carols and in a colorful display of firework," the State House notes.
The President has in the past years treated children to such parties during the festive season.
