Kenyans.co.ke have come across rare footage that shows Administration Police at work performing various drills in a camp.
The Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet appears in the first scene, inspecting a guard of honour at the AP Training College in Embakasi.
In the next scene, the APs perform a drill of what appears to be a rescue mission involving a bus that is presumably hijacked or under attack.
The footage then cuts to a shooting range where the officers are seen practising their skills at arms.
The next clip shows a riot scene where the officers are training on how to handle civilian protesters.
Finally, the viewers get to see the APs doing physical and fitness exercises like boxing, jogging and climbing ropes.
The Administration Police is a paramilitary security under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
Their functions include providing assistance to the public when in need, maintaining law and order, preserving peace and protecting life and property.
They also provide protection of government property, coordination and complementing of government agencies in conflict management and peace-building.
More so, they may perform other duties as assigned by the Inspector General in accordance with the law.
