The mother of five was later transferred to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital after two of her children developed breathing complications.
The 28-year-old and her husband Herbert Wawire, already had four children, making the total number of children nine.
“Niko na wengine wanne, Sasa nimezaa watano, wote wanakua watoto tisa (I have four other children, now I have given birth to five, all totaling to nine children)," Evelyn told reporters in a past interview.
The smallest baby among the five weighed 840grams at birth.
Namukhula had been reported to be in a stable condition, with the director of reproductive health noting that the doctors were transfusing blood since she had lost most of it.
“We are giving her physiotherapy assistance to help her walk properly. We are also ensuring she takes a balanced diet because she is not feeding for one but five babies," she had stated in the interview.
