Golden spot, a popular bar, and restaurant in Kilimani area of Nairobi has gone up in flames.
The fire is said to have started from the kitchen and quickly spread to the other parts of the restaurant.
Smoke was seen emanating from the establishment’s kitchen section on Sunday at about 2:45 pm.
The establishment is located along Chaka road, Hurlingham Nairobi.
Heavy smoke was seen billowing from the building sending the revelers into panic with people running in all directions.
The cause of the fire was yet to be determined as firefighters from the Nairobi county government tried to battle with the flames.
With help from volunteers, the county firefighters were able to contain the inferno before it could spread any further.
In the video, people are seen running and trying to save their cars that had been parked outside the establishment.
Witnesses lauded the firefighters for their timely response that helped avoid further destruction of property or even the flames spreading to the surrounding buildings.
