Dennis Itumbi's Photo of Raila Lands Him in Hot Water

Secretary Digital, Innovations & Diaspora Communications, Dennis Itumbi, has angered a section of Kenyans after he posted a gold portrait of the former prime minister Raila Odinga.

Itumbi's post came in the wake of a fake gold scam involving politicians that has sought heavy media coverage.

The designed photo shows Odinga's face covered in a golden color with a caption that reads 'Goldinga'.

The post elicited a lot of reactions from angry Kenyans who castigated him for posting such a photo.

"You will soon be fired. Do not joke with Baba. Ask Rashid Echesa," Koronge stated.

"Bad joke boss," another weighed in.

"My good friend, I thought this is what brings our nation down?" Wanjiru questioned.

"Such a big person with dignity and got high profile..can just open Instagram and post such a pic, am just amused," Abdul stated.

The former Prime Minister had earlier revealed that he was the one who exposed the fake gold scammers.

"I was with the Arabs when they received the call from the fraudsters who told them that they had their gold consignment and even sent a photo," Raila noted.
