Isaac Mwaura's Birthday Party is Not What You'd Expect

Most politicians or those in authority go all out when it comes to celebrating their birthdays.

Some will organise events in classy hotels and will only be attended by the high and mighty.

However, Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura broke the norm when he took a totally different turn.

For the senator, all he needed to make the most out of his 37th birthday was his wife Mukami Mwaura, their son Njiru Mwaura and a cake.

"I turn 37 today. I thank GOD for everything. New year, new horizons," Mwaura captioned photos of his birthday celebration which seemingly took place inside his house.

A delighted Mwaura expressed himself on Facebook as he thanked his wife, who had taken the time to celebrate his birthday with him.

"My wife Mukami R. Mwaura and our little son Njiru took time to celebrate with me. The gift of family is the most precious. It begins and ends with family. Am older and hopefully wiser," the senator posted.

Photos seen by Kenyans.co.ke, show the senator and his wife cut the cake while in another photo, Mwaura feeds a piece to his son.

The politician also thanked his friends for taking the time to wish him well as he grew a year older.

"Thanks a lot to each one of you dear friends for taking time to wish me wonderful birthday wishes. Through this, we were able to share together. I take note that some of you wondered about me being 37," he noted.

A day later, the nominated senator was spotted singing 'Amazing grace' among other legislators at the National Prayer Breakfast held at Safari Park hotel.
