Journalist Nabbed for Stealing Employer's Money

A journalist, Mark Mbao, and his wife, Walley Mewange, have been accused of stealing Ksh109,069 from their employer, Vincent Nucci.

The dynamic duo that worked at Italian radio-based in Ufungamano house is said to have used their pass cards to access the room with the cash thus committing the offence.

According to the sub-Saharan Africa bureau chief in charge of Italian Radio, Vincent Nucci, the two committed the criminal act while he was away.

The agitated boss stated that he received a call from the head of human resource informing him that the money was missing from its designated location.

The two, who were captured on Ufungamano house CCTV cameras, were seen going in and out of the building where the money was kept.

Reports by The Star indicate that the boss, who claims to have watched the CCTV footage severally, identified the two individuals going in and out of the building and left the premises without tampering with any other thing.

Nucci held on to claims that CCTV cameras never lie and that he was certain about his claims that it was the couple who made away with the money and no one else.

The boss has since fired Mark on grounds of theft and cancelled his contract with the company.

“Mark was my employee. I dismissed him after the investigations were done and the contract expelled,” declared Nucci.

Investigations have been done to determine the couples fate as they also wait to be arraigned in a court of law.
