13-Year-Old Heartbroken by Uhuru's Unfulfilled Promise to Her [VIDEO]

In 2014, 13-year-old Lorna Murugi entertained President Uhuru Kenyatta so much that he promised to meet her in State House.

Five years later, she is yet to meet the president and has also made efforts that have not been fruitful.

Local leaders had given her endless empty promises to help her meet President Kenyatta but the opportunity was still not forthcoming.

Having had enough of the promises, the Tumaini Junior School student once made a trip to Harambee House.

On getting there, she was denied the opportunity to realise her dreams by the officers working there.

Three months ago, her father died of a heart attack but she still believes she will make him proud.

Her mother, Nancy Njoki told K24 TV reporters that Deputy President William Ruto promised to meet Lorna but he is also yet to do so.

The girl, who is a peace crusader aspires to be a journalist when she completes her studies.

On October 14, 2014, 13-year-old Dennis Ngaruiya recited a poem for President Kenyatta and his family was promised a new home by the Head of State.

Four years later, the family rejected the house because of claims that it was not newly built.

The house was then donated to Charles Macharia, who was homeless and had camped at a nearby church compound.

Watch Lorna Murugi narrate her desire to meet the president.
