Why Millie Odhiambo Wanted a 2nd Husband [VIDEO]

Suba North MP, Millie Odhiambo, is never short of controversial statements in the August house.

On June 6, 2019, she left the entire house in stitches when she revealed that she was in discussion with her husband, Magugu Mabona, to be allowed to marry a second and even a third husband if need be.

Odhiambo noted that her husband was Zimbabwean and was always away for work and since she did not have dual citizenship, she needed to marry a second spouse.

The legislator noted that her decision was based on the fact that even her male counterparts had more than one spouse from different countries and the society did not judge them.

Her feisty response was after a male member of the national assembly had asked her to declare her interest in the matter that was being discussed.

According to the video, the MPs were debating on the requirement by individuals to declare their dual citizenships.

The Suba North MP revealed that as soon as the negotiations with her husband were complete, she would appear before the same house and change the law and declare her dual citizenship.

The debate was necessitated by the vetting process of Mwende Mwinzi, who had been nominated as the Kenyan ambassador to South Korea.

Legislators who were vetting her demanded that Mwende declare her citizenship after they learnt of her American one.
