Ebru TV Under Fire After Press Statement Blunder

Ebru TV, on Thursday evening, published a press statement responding to fallout claims by comedian Vincent Mwasia Mutua, popularly known as Chipukeezy.

The comedian had earlier claimed that he resigned from the station after he was asked to terminate his collaboration with Nick Chege alias Kartelo.

Following the release of the press statement, the station came under fire for having a couple of errors. Others believed that the author was too attached to the message.

"I will leave this one here. This is not a press release though, it is a grammatical mistake. Oh and wrong format," Ezekiel Mureithi commented.

"You shot yourself right on the head. Reread what you posted, bring it down and think again. Otherwise, whoever wrote this should have his or her contract reviewed," Eric Gitobu wrote.

"Pathetic grammar but none of my business," Mc Zack weighed in.

Some of the errors pointed out in the statement included;

"We would like to reiterate that Chipukeezy he was not in any form or way in charge of the census promotions."

"Please note that as of 23rd of August 2019 we did not have issues with the Chipukeezy show and was to go on as normal."

Chipukeezy, who also doubles up as a National Agency for the Campaign against Drug Abuse (Nacada) director, earlier stated that the station had told him his show was making the channel 'a bit Ghetto' because of his regular guests.
