Mudavadi Responds After Kenyans Troll Him Over Car Stuck in Mud

Musalia Mudavadi's Personal Assistant Kibisu Kabatesi, on Sunday, September 8, come to the defense of his boss after a tweet was posted online, having him allegedly in a vehicle that was stuck in the mud with villagers trying to push it out.

This was after a tweet by an influential blogger went viral showing photos of a car, alleged to be Mudavadi's stuck in the mud on his way from his village and with a few people trying to push it out of the muddy road stirred the passions of Kenyans online.

Speaking exclusively to Kenyans.co.ke, Musalia's PA Kibisu Kabatesi confirmed that the vehicle in question did not belong to the ANC party leader, but to other people who had followed his entourage to a funeral in Amisi sub-county.

He also alleged that the vehicle was coming from Hamisi, not anywhere near his 'political village' as people were alleging.

The sender of the tweet also alleged that Mudavadi was in the car and had refused to alight and help push it and had instead left the villagers to push it for him.

The tweet triggered an avalanche of comments with many castigating Mudavadi of being in leadership for decades and yet the roads to his village was still in such a pitiable condition.

Responding to the idea that Mudavadi did not build a road leading to his home, Kabatesi joked about the missiles that would be thrown his way if he came across to build a road to his own home.

This was in reference to the recent incident involving Supreme Court judge Justice Ojwang' who was accused of having a personal road leading to his private residence, built by Migori Governor OKoth Obado as a result of his favorable ruling.

"I know what people are trying to insinuate that it is the road to his home and why he has not made that road. If you area leader and you made a road to your home, you will receive a lot of missiles because of it," he claimed.

He alleged that he too had seen the information on Facebook, branding those spreading that information, detractors keen to drag Mudavadi's name through the mud.

While he did not refute the fact that Mudavadi was in Hamisi, he disputed the alleged ownership of the vehicle, insisting that Mudavadi was not in the said vehicle and that it does not belong to him.

"There are two things here, that picture of the KCC 676G is not his vehicle, and he was not in it. The road is not a road to his home. It is in the Misambayi ward. He was on his way to the airport from the funeral of his kin Hamisi," he concluded.
