TV Anchors You Didn't Know Were Video Vixens

Unbelievable as it may sound, three of Kenya’s top news anchors at one time or another featured in music videos as video vixens

K24 TV’s Anne Kiguta appeared in media personality DnG’s song in 2011.

The track, Mpenzi, was about the musician expressing his joy that God had given him a potential wife and that he couldn’t wait to marry her.

True to the lyrics of the song, the video starts with the two meeting at a kiosk, where Kiguta gets the attention of DnG.

He proceeds to court her until they get married in a church. True to the lyrics of the song, the two are captured exchanging romantic glances throughout the video.

Betty, clearly in her late teenage years at the time, was featured in a video of a song dubbed Mdogo Mdogo by musician S Kay.

The video was shot and directed by her brother Msafiri Ben.

The track was a club banger at the time and showcases various dance moves with Betty flaunting some herself.

She was still in campus pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication.

Citizen TV’s Lillian Muli’s first cameo was in February 2019 when she appeared in a Kamba music video.

The song, Kyaa Kya Ngai by Stephen Kasolo is about how God manifests himself.

Many were impressed by Muli’s cameo in the song which has attracted a good number of views.

In the song’s music video, Muli appears for a few seconds dancing to Kasolo’s rhythm and singing along to the lyrics.

Through a social media post, Lillian Muli expressed her gratitude to the singer for choosing to work with her. “May God continue to uplift you. This is a good one Stephen Kasolo. I’m so Blessed by this song” wrote Lillian Muli.
