A Toyota Wish, reported to have been ferrying 10 passengers, claimed 5 lives along Mwiwondwe Bridge on the Ekero-Buyangu Road, on its way to Busia County.
According to a report by Citizen TV, a man and his wife are reported to be among the five people killed on the Tuesday morning crash.
Five others, including children, were seriously injured when the vehicle rolled on the bridge.
The ten were bundled in the saloon car on their way to Busia for the festive season.
