ODM Director Lashes Out at Oscar Sudi in Defence of Atwoli

Orange Democratic Movement Director of Communications Philip Etale, on Saturday, January 4, lashed out at Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi after he called COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli a conman.

Etale, through his social media pages, called Sudi out and alleged that his allies were the greatest rippers of the economy.

"Sudi calling Papa Francis Atwoli ‘conman’ and refusing to call his demigod a thief is a big joke. He says Kenya’s economy is dead when he knows who has ripped off the country’s coffers," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Earlier in the day, the MP, through a press conference in Eldoret, criticised government officials who are critical of Deputy President William Ruto's ascension to the top seat.

Sudi singled out the union boss for suggesting that the president was too young to retire from politics.

"Look at someone like Atwoli. He could not even win an MP seat, yet he purports to advise us on what to do.

"He wants the president to stay in leadership for 50 years like he has in the labour union," Sudi stated.

Further, the MP cited that Atwoli was old and needed to resign and spend more time with his children.

The MP, who is a close ally of the DP, also asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to make clear his stand on whether he intended to continue staying in power.

"The president should free himself from some conmen who are frustrating him in service delivery," he stated.
